Accountants can be very ugly people, awkward too. Ever try to have a normal conversation with one? Your eyeballs might not dry out with one out of every twenty three of them during an exchange of words.

But accountants are smart people, and we’ve figured out that if we hire people with pleasant faces and voices to field your questions and handle your needs, we’ll get more business. That’s why we hired DeeDee Card. Professional, good-looking, charming, everything an accountant isn’t. Plus, there’s nothing she won’t do. Wait, let’s rephrase that: when it comes to accounting and administrative related tasks, there’s nothing she won’t do.

Dee Dee was recommended to us by her former coworker Lindsay Green and former boss, Beverly Linkous. When Lindsay and Beverly found a good home with Lawhorn & Associates, they just had to bring DeeDee along for the ride. And DeeDee turned out to be a great fit. She handles collections, billing, and software training in addition to her full load of administrative duties with a wink and a smile. She’s a Jill-of-all-trades, monster of none. Just don’t badger her.

A domestic engineer for 10 years, DeeDee and her husband Jim enjoy traveling and boating with their three children. Dee is big into crafts, especially crocheting and any other thing that involves knit picking. Reading Christian historical fiction is also a pastime for her when she isn’t volunteering with her kids’ schools and sports teams. Don’t be surprised to see her at a rugby, football, or volleyball scrimmage; because she can pat her head, rub her belly, and jump on one foot simultaneously (no really, we’ve witnessed this spectacle firsthand), Dee will likely be the one with the blood and dirt on her jersey somewhere in the middle of the fight.
