Lawhorn & Associates prides itself on good intra-departmental communication, particularly when it involves the administrative department. The full responsibilities of the admin group would be too long and tedious (and boring) to list here, but suffice it to say that they are involved on a number of levels in the production of tax returns and financials.
Lawhorn management has recently facilitated that communication ever further with the addition of Brittanie Gilliland. Brittanie is an accounting student working towards her Master’s, and as such she handles some accounting work; but she is also a full fledged member of the admin team, which puts her in the position to help with final processing on tax returns and financials, client setup, and billing. We dare not keep up with all she does in one day.
Brittanie studies at ETSU and maintains a 3.5 there despite her other chores and duties outside of school. Yes, really, we just used the chore word. That’s because she lives in the Cherokee National Forest on a horse farm. And chores happen there. We’re talking CHORES, people. And we know what you’re thinking: yes, she drives a gazillion miles a day from home to school to work and back.
In addition to all the other crap she takes care of (and we mean that both figuratively and literally), Brittanie gives horseback riding lessons to women looking to develop their calf muscles and men seeking to diminish their potential to reproduce. Both she and her husband, Aaron, offer carriage rides for special occasions. Her farm animals assist her in making ice cream. No, really, we’re not making this up: we heard it from the horse’s mouth.
