Jason Lawhorn, CPA, CITP, MAcc Operations Principal Although in his early thirties, Jason has racked up 16 years of accounting experience through a head start in the field. He holds a Master of Accountancy with a concentration in systems from the University of Tennessee. Jason specializes in business strategy, entity planning, accounting systems, and technical training.
James Carroll, CPA Managing Principal James has 25 years of experience in controllerships and industry accounting in addition to his seventeen years of public accounting experience. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas. James concentrates on financial and tax compliance for contractors and manufacturing.
Steve Glindmeier, CPA, MAcc Tax Manager Steve has been with Lawhorn & Associates since late 2000. He holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee with a concentration in tax. He manages tax planning and compliance for the firm.
Donna Lawhorn Executive Administrator Donna holds a degree in biology from  Carson Newman College along with a teaching certificate. Her fifteen years accounting experience, however, prove that numbers and tax are more fun than amoebas and seaweed. She is the queen of billing questions.
Lisa Ingle Paralegal Consultant Lisa graduated from Carson Newman with a B.A. in Psychology / Business. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honorary Society and a Notary Public of Knox County. Ms. Ingle began her business career as a paralegal for a small Knoxville law firm. In 2003, she joined Lawhorn & Associates where she continues to work as a paralegal.
Jennifer Chan Senior Staff Accountant A native of Hong Kong, Jennifer earned a BA in Accounting and another BA in Finance from the University of Tennessee. Prior to this, she also held certifications in accounting from Great Britain. Jennifer is responsible for client compilations, and both corporate and individual tax return preparation.
Stephanie Lacombe Directress of First Impressions Stephanie graduated with a BS in Marketing from Louisiana Tech University and worked in her field for 16 years before joining Lawhorn & Associates in 2004. Her experience includes the fields of law, law enforcement, hotel / motel industry, international sales, publishing, web design, photo editing, et al. John Dalton Education and Training Officer John graduated from Olivet University with a BS in Accounting and Business Management. Upon graduation, he continued with his occupation at a regional bank, where he was quickly promoted to corporate trainer. Lawhorn & Associates snatched him up in March of 2005, just in time for tax season. Predictably, he is a Certifed QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Sam Lawhorn Marketing Director Sam's education belongs not primarily to a university, but to a monastery, with which he was affiliated for nine years. He is currently pursuing a double major in Mathematics and Engineering.
Doug Hathaway Deputy Doug earned a BA in Finance and an MBA with a concentration in Process Management from Idaho State University. Taking advantage of his specialty, the Lawhorn team relies on him to develop and enhance our accounting processes.
Tiny Case Staff Accountant Tiny graduated cum laude from Tennessee Wesleyan College as a member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. She is the payroll manager and is also responsible for client compilations.
Margie Duvall Directress of Lasting Impressions As the Directress of Lasting Impressions, Margie is likely a person you will remember after a visit to Lawhorn & Associates. With over eight years experience in the accounting field, Margie can provide a wealth of informative answers to client questions. She is responsible for final processing of returns, regular administration, and billing inquiries.
Brian Patrick Staff Accountant Brian holds an accounting degree from the University of Tennessee, where he is currently working on his Masters. He is responsible for client compilations, federal and state tax, and payroll taxes.
David Seyler Staff Accountant David is an accounting student who works with Lawhorn & Associates seasonally. He is responsible for financial compilations. His biggest hero is Pee-wee Herman.
Kurt Bublitz Staff Accountant Kurt holds a degree in Accounting and an MBA from CSU in Anchorage, Alaska. He has worked extensively in both corporate and public accounting. Having opened his own restaurant / bar in Knoxville, he is quite familiar with the inner workings of that scene in particular, as well as the hotel / motel and medical industries.
